Our Biomimicry Project
We used some of nature’s best defenses to inspire ideas to solve the complex problem of sperm whales eating fish from commercial longlines.
We did lots of research. We then created plans based on our ideas. Finally, we used our Global Digital Promises’ Learning Studio and made stop motion movies to illustrate our ideas.
This project was inspired by our National Geographic Reading Program and Dr. Rocket (Dr. Roketenetz) who visited our classroom through the Sitka Science Center’s Scientist in the School Program.
